The mission of Transformations Early Learning and Development Center is to provide high quality care and education to children of all abilities and cultural backgrounds. We fulfill our mission by providing a nurturing learning environment that allows children to explore independently, discover, and learn through play while applying developmentally appropriate practices to meet the individual needs of each child.

Our Philosophy

Transformations Early Learning and Development Center (“TELDC”) believes that education and care are intertwined; thus, you will feel confident knowing that your child will be taken care of in every sense of the word. With this in mind, we welcome children of all abilities and cultural backgrounds, providing them with a safe, clean, child-friendly environment. Our well-trained, professional, experienced teachers will teach according to the philosophy that children learn best by way of “play” and “experimentation”, thus giving children the opportunity to be engaged in developmentally age-appropriate activities that appeal to children’s natural curiosity, reflects their interest, nurtures their spontaneous thoughts and actions, and encourages their creativity. There will be opportunities for individual and group participation while adhering to a balance between child initiated and teacher-directed activities. TELDC also integrates person-centered learning (PCL) as a focal point, which encourages individualized learning and goals based on each child’s developmental needs, strengths, and the child’s cultural background as it is defined by his community, native language, family history, and family structure. Everyone will be encouraged to play, discover, participate, inquire, experiment, and interact with others, subsequently building a strong learning foundation that will set strong future learning endeavors.
